Budapest Photo Diary: exploring one of my favorite European cities by foot

Split by the Danube River, Buda and Pest are culturally and visually distinct. Buda is the calmer more residential side, with sweeping views from Gellért Hill and stunning monuments such as Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church. Pest on the other hand, has more of an upbeat, lively vibe with a plethora of cafes, restaurants, ruin bars and touristic sites to explore.

Here’s a snapshot of my wanderings through both sides of Budapest.

Which is your favorite side of the city- Buda or Pest?
